I’m a single father with full custody of a growing little boy that wants to be just like or better than his dad.
What is a quote that you live by?
It’s always someone on the other side of the world working harder than you. You can choose how great you want to be.
Who do you look up to?
I look up to my dad because of how he has worked hard my whole life and won and lost and didn’t complain. All he did was have faith that things would get better and he focused on that and prospered.
Why did you choose to give back to children through coaching?
Basketball was always a thing where I could showcase my talent and be top tier. So when u play well kids want to emulate that and gravitate to the skills I possess.
So I was willing to give back and help kids get better because they looked up to me as a positive role model so I ran with it.
What do you love about mentoring children?
I love the development aspect of it. Being able to show and prove to a kid and show them that it’s a different route you can go instead of this negative route that is being influenced.
Kids see me and want to know how they can do the same thing and that’s the beauty of it all. I will always be a help to the kids in any way not just through basketball but through every way in life.
